Concert Diary/Style Files: We Are Savages Tour

image-3

Last night was the NYC show of the We Are Savages tour, headlined by Breathe Carolina and included Ghost Town, Mod Sun, Johnny Craig, Lionfight, and Divided By Friday. Unfortunately, I was only there long enough to see Divided By Friday and Ghost Town since my boyfriend wasn’t feeling well. We left right after Ghost Town’s set, but it wasn’t a total loss since both bands were pretty awesome.

Divided By Friday

It was my first time listening to Divided by Friday, and I thought they were great. They looked quite dapper in their outfits, so they automatically get an A for style in my book. Their songs were upbeat and really kept the crowd going. Some people may or may not agree with me for saying this, but their music and fashion sense really reminded me of Panic! At The Disco.

Ghost Town

The one band I was really looking forward to seeing on this tour was Ghost Town, one of my favorites. I discovered them last year when they were on tour with Marianas Trench and saw them again (& met lead singer Kevin!) when they headlined the Bryan Stars Tour. I was pretty bummed that they played a lot less songs last night and not even a single acoustic one, but their performance was still as amazing as ever. They even played a brand new song called “I’m Weird,” which is not even released yet. I cannot wait to see them again at Warped Tour this summer!

Here’s Kevin! He was so nice when I met him last year, and I really like his new hairstyle and Breathe Carolina tie dye shirt.

The crowd goes wild! 🙂

For this show, I pulled together a pretty simple black outfit so I threw in a spiked beanie, floral printed cardigan, and adorable cat tights to make it more fun for the occasion.
